Analysis Result Images - Enhancements
A new option has been provided in GALENA 5.01 that allows enhancement of analysis result images - ‘Show Projected Material Colours’ is available while analysis result images are displayed, and basically projects defined material colours from material profiles that are above the slope down onto the slope surface. The advantages for presentation and understanding are obvious, and are demonstrated in the following two examples.
Example 1: The image below shows a simple model that contains two material profiles, one entirely above the slope surface, the other cut by the defined slope surface.
Once processed the analysis result image is displayed - with the ‘Show Projected Material Colours’ option turned OFF the result image would appear as that shown below (this is also how such models would have appeared prior to GALENA 5.01).
However, with the ‘Show Projected Material Colours’ option turned ON the result image would appear as that shown below, where the difference and presentation advantages are obvious.

Example 2: The image below shows a similar simple model that contains two material profiles, one entirely above the slope surface, the other cut by the defined slope surface.

Once processed the analysis result image is displayed - with the ‘Show Projected Material Colours’ option turned OFF the result image would appear as that shown below.

However, with the ‘Show Projected Material Colours’ option turned ON the result image would appear as that shown below, where the difference is again obvious.
